Bausch and Lomb Pro Junior
Bausch and Lomb Pro Junior manufactured during the 1960’s
Description
Like the A/O RX before it, this was available in a wide variety of colors. This one has been restored mechanically but not cleaned up. Manufactured during the 1960’s, this one is a later date of manufacture. Optically just as good as the model 70 and with a wider field of view, but mechanically much inferior. Not a lab instrument either, the throat is way too shallow to support truly large lenses.
It used a miniature cog belt which connected the axis wheel to the target, which frequently broke when it dried out or the bearings froze. The ink pad holder was moulded directly into the metal housing also, which could easily cause flooding problems if you weren’t careful.
